The May 25, 2000 club meeting featuring Michael Sinclair on the topic of Bamboo Fly Rods was very informative and entertaining. His enthusiasm and passion for bamboo is contagious.

Thus far have I avoided that temptation of experiencing with bamboo rods primarily because I considered them a very expensive hobby that I needed like I need a hole in my waders. Also, I had no confidence that I could differentiate between junk bamboo rods and reasonably priced bamboo fishing tools. Our meeting lessened my ignorance on this subject considerably.
