Winter Lake

Winter fishing lakes are stocked by the Department of Conservation and rely on cold weather to keep the lakes at a temperature that is compatable with the needs of trout.  Winter fishing lakes are open for catch-n-release fishing with artificial lures from November 1st through January 31st.

The put-n-take lakes - all others - are open for fishing year-round and allow any bait.  From February 1st through October 31st the catch-n-release lakes follow the guidelines of the put-n-take lakes - limit of four fish using all baits.
