Stream Team Equipment

We all know that funds are really tight for everyone, and the Stream Team Program is facing the same budget cuts as everyone else. First, and foremost, we hope you do get involved and use the equipment you trained to use. But if that is not going to happen, we are collecting the equipment to turn it back over to the state to be re-issued. Did you know that the net used to collect bugs cost the state $50.00? These things are sitting in garages and really need to be in the streams. Please do not think we are being judgmental or harsh, things change. Thank you for your support in this most important effort we are making.

2012 Current River Water Quality Monitoring Schedule

This year our Current River WQM program promises to offer some new opportunities for those who attend. The above dates were selected to coincide with other events that will benefit Ozark Fly Fishers, the Stream Team program and any individual who is interested in participating. Watch the newsletter and website for informative details as these monitoring dates approach. If you are a member of the OFF, then you are considered a member of Stream Team #31. Stream Team training is not a required prerequisite for attendance. Trained individuals will be on site to assist newcomers and answer any questions to the best of their abilities. We encourage the invitation of nonmembers and youth participation. We are more likely to protect and appreciate our streams if we have a better understanding of them. Fly fishers remember, - you will see firsthand the food organisms that comprise the fish’s diet! Come join us for a good time.
Please always notify if you plan to attend. Current River - contact: Scott Darrough at 314-560-1335 or Scott

45th Annual Operation Clean Stream August 25, 2012

Come and take part in one of the oldest and largest stream clean-up traditions in the nation.

In the early years of the club (72-73), we participated in this event. Last year saw a renewed interest as a sizable group turned out in force. This year Stream Team # 31 will once again request your help. Not only is this a fun event but it is also a great way to give back to the resources that we use.

Mark this date on your calendar and watch the newsletter and website for future details.

In the mean time if you have questions contact Scott Darrough at 314-560-1335 or swdarrough@yahoo.com
